Diagnostic Imaging
Our doctors at Equine Innovative Medicine employ the latest in mobile diagnostic imaging.
Radiograph Imaging
HD digital radiography is a form of x-ray imaging that uses x-ray sensors to capture the image instead of photogenic film. The biggest advantage is a superior image that can be enhanced and appears in seconds.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a specialized imaging technique the uses inaudible sound waves to create an image of the soft tissue structure and joint surfaces. Ultrasound is used to diagnosis tendon, ligament and some joint injuries. Ultrasound imaging is also used to help facilitate injections within tendons, ligaments, bursae, and joints such as cervical facet and the sacroiliac joints.
Fluoroscopy
The fluoroscope is a machine that uses x-rays to obtain an image that allows for a real time moving image. This moveable image allows for a three-dimensional image of joints and is especially helpful with difficult joint injections.
