ABOUT DR. CHRISTINA HOWARD
Growing up in rural New Jersey, I spent every moment I could working with horses. My desire to provide top-notch care to every horse inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
After graduating from North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, I went on to complete a large animal internal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. After my internship, my husband and I relocated to the Pacific Northwest where I worked as an associate equine practitioner in Pierce County. A desire to improve my patient’s lives through a more holistic approach drew me to integrative medicine so in 2015 I became certified in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and the following year I completed training in veterinary chiropractics through Options for Animals. I am currently completing further training in herbal medicine through Chi University.
When not working or riding, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our Bernese Mountain Dog, Oakley, enjoying all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer!
